Actively participate in promoting safety and environmental awareness with all company / contract staff such that completion operations are carried out in a safe and environmentally sound manner.
Develop an accurate understanding and description of well objectives with the subsurface team.
Identify and evaluate drilling and completion/recompletion/workover alternatives and review with subsurface team to optimise program.
Ensuring well programs in compliance with standard industry practices and government regulations.
Ensure the proposed completions are feasible and make sense utilizing team input, well flow analysis, etc. to validate the design and optimise the well completion type and details offsetting cost, risk, rates, and reserves.
Assist in preparation of the drilling/casing program that is commensurate with completion equipment/production requirements.
Generate completion cost estimates, assist in the Well Operations planning and budget, SKKMigas Workplan and Budget (WP&B) cycle, and internal and partner AFE approval.
Complete Well on Paper (CWOP) sessions, After Action Reviews, or other meetings as required.
Determine if sand control is required, select most applicable sand control technique, optimise and size sand control equipment according to sieve analysis data and log correlations
Define and optimize well testing and cleanup program in conjunction with the reservoir engineers and facilities group
Develop detailed well plans working as an integral member of the multi-discipline well teams, following Company well planning process.
Utilize maximum amount of existing inventory – reduce Company inventory value
Prepare rig, equipment ordering, and personnel schedules to meet the start dates
Finalize completion design and order the appropriate equipment.
Prepare tenders, complete bid evaluations, and finalize contracts as necessary for equipment not under contract or for expiring contracts.
Ensure all work programs are written meeting Company Well Operations Standards.
Work with Materials Coordinator to ensure long lead equipment are correctly specified and ordered in a timely manner.
Prepare detailed cost estimates and track actual costs.
Manage logistics and required paperwork for bringing equipment into county as well as ensuring equipment is properly prepared and documented and finally mobilizing equipment and personnel to/from location efficiently.
Continually analyse day-to-day operations to ensure completion program is implemented inline with the well plan and highlight any possible modifications to the plan to ensure efficient operations.
Participate in morning call with onshore personnel to review the previous day’s operation and the planned upcoming operations.
Ensure Completion and Testing Operations are properly captured in the Comapny reporting system (WellView®) and perform quality control of the report and advise Manager Drilling and Completion if need to report revisions.
Continuously challenge and identify ways to reduce costs and improve D&C program effectiveness without sacrificing quality, production rates, or reserves.
Serve as a representative on relevant Networks of Excellence (NOE) and continue to keep abreast of new technology both within Company and industry. Identify innovative completion techniques to reduce completion costs and/or maximize project value.
